The Evolution of Beauty

What does evolution have to do with beauty? More than advocates for natural selection and survival of the fittest might want you to believe. Many evolutionary biologists turned away from Darwin’s theory of sexual selection because it wasn’t driven by health or fitness signaling. Darwin was convinced that female preference for beauty in mate selection mattered more. Passion for beauty may have more to do with what drives living systems than you might have thought!
