Each year the Church and Community Program organizes a Giving Tree for the December holidays. This initiative provides holiday gifts for children in a low-income families. Each child will receive at least one toy and one item of clothing. The Giving Tree will be in the Social Room soon, at least by Sunday, November 22. Please take a tag and purchase gifts for a local child.
This year we will also include a book for each child and an array of stocking stuffers. We are asking our congregations to contribute to the stocking stuffers by bringing small, inexpensive items such as cosmetics, hygiene items, tooth brushes and paste, fun stuff like bubble bath, necessary stuff like deodorant, hair bands, nail clippers, travel-size items, little “hotel bottles” of things (unopened, please), etc.
Please consider including at least one such item in your shopping during the holiday season. Stocking stuff items may be in the “Feed the Need” box.
