Dairy Princess Parade ~ Saturday, June 2, 2018
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of becoming a Welcoming Congregation, we are bringing together many friends and allies in the community to form a marching band for this year’s Dairy Princess parade. We’ll play a fun and simple arrangement of “We Are Family.”
If you are interested in playing, please contact Jill Rubio or email the office to be added to the list for music distribution. We also encourage you to invite your musical friends so we can make a well-instrumented band. Please share this information with all your friends – student musicians are most welcome. If you need percussion, it may be provided, but only with prior notice.
We will have three short band practices on Sundays May 6, 13, 20 and 27 immediately following worship. Attend as many as you can. If you wish to participate but cannot attend any of the rehearsals, please contact Jill. Experienced musicians may join us for the first time on Parade Day but we need to send out the music ahead of time.
We will meet at 11:45 a.m. on parade day for one last practice in the parking lot behind the church. We will walk over to the parade gate at 12:30p.m. and the parade starts at 1 p.m.
