In Religious Education 11.11.18

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about the universe, learn about Fanny Farmer, continue designing a display for Lights on the River, explore congregational leadership and participate in church ministry. 

RE Ambassador is Jim Williams. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Katie Boczarski and Will Siegfried. 

Spirit Play will hear  “The Universe Story.”  An indigo promise story which tells how the cosmos and especially the earth was created. 

Teachers: Cara Coffin and Rebecca Pickens 

Spirit of Adventure will continue exploring food.  We will enjoy some cooking together while hearing about Unitarian Fannie Farmer, author and cooking specialist who introduced the concept of standard measurements for recipes. 

Teachers: Ashley Clover and Jim Rudd 

Maker Space will continue designing and creating a display for Lights on the River in Lisbon, NY.  We will be looking to the church community for donations of lights and with help painting once a design has been determined. 

Teachers: Pete Wyckoff and Pat Glover 

Coming of Age will learn about Congregational Leadership.  They will hear about all the different ways members and friends give to our church community.  They will also be connecting with their mentors immediately after worship till 1:30pm. 

Teachers: Tom VandeWater and Helen Hutchinson 

Youth Group will participate in church ministry by attending worship or spending time downstairs with the younger classes.
