Canton’s Church and Community Program ran a rewarding Giving Tree program this year, serving more than 150 families and providing more than 400 children with gifts of clothing, toys, books, and stocking stuffers. This is the largest number of families the program has served so far, reflecting the economic hardships our neighbors face.
More than 40 volunteers from the churches and community participated, and 40 local businesses, schools, and organizations helped by displaying our tags. We received generous support from Kiwanis, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Save-A-Lot, Walmart, NYSARC, Brewer Bookstore, Maria Sergi Foundation, and Knights of Columbus.
Citizens in our local community provide the vast bulk of support through their gifts,
for which we are grateful

Congratulations!! This program fulfills such a major community need and it touches the hearts of all of us. Most particularly it touches the hearts of kids in want of joy in their lives. Good job, well done!!
