This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about Maria Mitchell, learn about the gift of love, create educational materials about Green Light Law, explore safe uses of technology to build relationships and make plans for a sledding party.

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Eden Terrell and Sara Hutcheson.
Spirit Play will hear the story “Infinity of Questions – The Story of Maria Mitchell”, a sources story about the roots of our beliefs.

Love Will Guide Us will focus on the second Unitarian Universalist Source, people of long ago and today whose lives remind us to be kind and fair. They will hear a story about a valuable lesson the Unitarian Transcendentalist minister and author, Ralph Waldo Emerson, learned from his daughter, Ellen—that the most important gift of all is time and love.

Maker Space will continue to explore the topic of immigration. They will create educational materials about the Green Light Law, which supports immigrants in receiving a driver’s license.

Jr High OWL will explore how Technology can enrich young teens’ knowledge and/or social relationships in safe, life-affirming ways when approached with care, information about available options, and an awareness of appropriate use. The workshop addresses both computer and cell phone use; however, the activities will not require that participants have either cell phones or access to a computer.

Youth Group will make plans to host a sledding party for the congregation. They will create announcements, posters and determine cookie recipes they would like to make.
