In Religious Education 4.7.19

This Sunday our children and youth will hear a story about a Passover Seder, continue to explore the web of life with Henry David Thoreau, begin determining a final project, participate in a retreat and make plans for youth transitions. 

RE Ambassador is Esther Katz. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Eden Terrell and Rachel Sturges 

Spirit Play will hear the story “Passover Seder”, a source story about the special dinner the Jewish people have to celebrate Passover and to remember when Moses led the Hebrew people out of slavery in Egypt. 

Teachers: Margaret Harloe and Shelby Hunkins 

Spirit of Adventure will continue to explore the web of life with Henry David Thoreau.  We learn about living and playing simply. 

Teachers: Esther Oey and Jim Rudd 

Maker Space will continue begin brainstorming a final project.  They have explored elections, made a display for Lights on the River, explored winter ecology and the effects of climate change.  What will they decide is their next project? 

Teachers: Ron Tavernier and TBA 

Coming of Age will come together for their final retreat.  We will begin exploring what we believe and write a faith statement.  We will participate in a high ropes course at SUNY Potsdam.  We will also prepare for the fundraising luncheon. 

Teachers: Carol Zimmerman, TBA and COA Mentors 

Youth Group will review the calendar for the year and make plans to support the COA youth during their service and make plans for the graduating seniors.
