POSSIBLE!
On Sunday, October 14, we will kick off our 2019 annual pledge campaign of church members and friends. Your pledge of financial support made this fall will be used to fund the 2019 operating budget.
Our theme this year is Mission Possible! After more than a year working together to develop a new mission statement, this is our chance to again work together to make the new mission statement aspirations a reality.
This year the Canvass Committee has chosen a one-on-one canvassing method. Sometime shortly after the Canvass Kickoff, a trained volunteer canvasser will be contacting you to set up a visit. They hope to meet with everyone in your household who is part of your pledge decision – spouses, partners, family members. Please welcome them warmly!
Friends and members at a distance can expect a letter from James. If you would like to have a personal conversation – by phone or in person – please contact one of the Canvass Co-Chairs.
The personal conversations will allow the canvasser to fill you in on some of the details of developing plans for the church budget. They will also allow you to speak about your connection to our church and what part of the mission statement speaks most directly to you.
At the end of the visit the canvasser will ask you to complete a pledge card, which they will return to the canvass co-chairs.
We have asked the canvass team to make their appointments and return pledge cards before the end of October. We hope you will work with them to meet that schedule.
Canvass Co-chairs Pete Wyckoff and Jenn Whittaker reminds us, “You are the only people who can gauge your capacity and willingness to give. We recognize that giving happens in many other ways than with money. Now is the time to assess what our church means to you, your children, and the community when considering you financial commitment.”
Now is the time to help make our mission a goal that we can work together to achieve!
