Church and Community Program

Our church participates in CCP’s “Giving Tree” initiative, which provides toys and clothing, holiday gifts for low-income families.

The late Reverend Max Coots, minister emeritus of our church, was one of the founders of the Church and Community Program, begun in 1974 as a partnership among several churches of Canton to address urgent needs of low-income neighbors for food, clothing, and other essentials.

C&CP’s thrift shop, food pantry, and office are located on the corner at 7 Main Street. Up to three members of our congregation serve on the board and others volunteer in many capacities.  In December, a portion of our Holiday Offering is given to support the Church and Community Program.
