Library Committee

The Library Committee collects and maintains material for the Coots Library, following the Library’s mission.

The Library Committee is responsible for:

  • Collecting and maintaining materials appropriate for both the Adult and Children’s Collections of the library.
  • Publicizing and encouraging the use of those materials.
  • Keeping all records pertinent to the library, including card and online catalogs.
  • Undertaking projects which promote the library such as book discussions, book fairs, adopt-a-book Sunday, and the book cart.
  • Housing, collecting, and maintaining the books in the Memorial Collection of the Memorial Committee. The Library Committee is open to all, works closely with the RE program, and makes library resources available to all standing committees, particularly Social Action, Worship, Stewardship, and the Memorial Committee.
