Find Out About the UUA Purpose and Covenant
In prior newsletters and in a sermon delivered by Rev. James, the subject of updating Article II of the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Bylaws was explained. Article II deals with the purpose of the UUA and its covenant with member congregations. The process of finalizing the most current update is almost complete, but we have one more opportunity to propose an amendment that we think will improve the language.

Please send your proposed amendment language by December 20 to Jon Montan at president@uucantonny.org
At its January meeting, Church Council will summarize the proposed amendments (if any) in a motion for action by the congregation at the January Congregational Budget Approval Meeting. If approved by congregational vote, Church Council will submit proposed amendment(s) prior to the announced February 1 deadline.
