Schmoozers and Machers

As we begin to celebrate the Jewish High days it would be good to reflect on two Yiddish words, machers–people who make things happen in and schmoozers–people who spend their time in informal conversation. They are not necessarily opposites and both are needed for a healthy and robust community.
