Patience: It’s Not Just For Puritans
Tricia Pethic, Pulpit Guest
After a brief historical look at early UU-Islamic relations, the sermon will explore patience in a post-covid world, misunderstandings of patience in activist circles, and will uncover what spiritual state alternates with patience.
Tricia Pethic holds Master’s degrees in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations (Hartford Seminary) and Near Eastern Studies (University of Arizona). She has served as a prison chaplain as well as a support person to organ donor families. Tricia enjoys cooking, genealogy, and quiet time with her husband and sons.
