Don’t miss El Circo Pobre (The Poor Circus) this Saturday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at the church. Visiting Fulbright scholar Miguel Cortazar, professional clown, mime, and actor will engage the audience of all ages in his show. Suggested donation is $5 per person or $10 per family, and all proceeds will go to the Red Rose School in Nairobi, Kenya.

This Sunday, October 26:

Mini-concert by Stringfolks at 10:15.

Worship, 10:30 a.m.: "Religion and Democracy" - Anne Marsh and Wade Wheelock, with special music by Stringfolks.

After church: Annual meeting to vote on officers, review annual reports, and hear an update on our ministerial transition. See kiosk for nominee bios; annual reports are at the back of the Sanctuary.

If you didn’t get a chance to attend Celebration Sunday, it was a great and fun event and we got a great start on our pledge campaign for 2009. However, we still need to hear from many of you. Please try to send in your pledge card within the next few days. This is important for our being able to create a budget for next year in a timely manner. Call the office (386-2498) if you need a replacement card or have any questions. Thanks for your help!

This year, you could send a holiday card that does more than just spread holiday cheer but actually supports human rights. Check out the different styles available on line from the UU Service Committee, www.uusc.org.
