Coming events

UU Church and community events coming soon:

The Social Action Committee invites you to join them for a discussion about the role of race in the 2008 presidential election this Thursday, October 9, 7pm, in the Social Room.

This Sunday, October 12:

Newcomers’ Coffee, Library, 9:30 a.m. If you’re new to the church, the Membership Committee invites you to enjoy good food and conversation and a chance to meet others.

Worship, 10:30 a.m.: "Gloom in the Light"- Wade Wheelock.

After church, an organizational meeting in the Romer Room for all who might be interested in a UU Elders group for our older members.

Coming October 19: Celebration Sunday! Celebrate our religious community with a festive service and lunch and join together to pledge our financial support for the year ahead. If you didn’t receive a brochure in the mail, let the office know. And on the 19^th, come at 10:20 for a special organ prelude!

"Seems Like Only Yesterday," a four-session program for elders (more or less over 65, but who’s counting?) is a chance to share memories of childhood, families, holidays, and more. The program will be facilitated by Stevie Michaelson and will meet in the Coots Library on Thursdays (Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30) from 10:30-noon. All seniors are welcome. See Stevie for details.
